Photography Fellowship Blog

Recognizing the multitude of people and professionals that own, appreciate and care for the nation’s trees and forests, the 2011 International Year of Forests Photography Fellowship documents the human experience in America’s forests through still photography, interviews, and film. Josh Birnbaum, the recipient of the fellowship, helped articulate the benefits we derive from the sustainable management of the nation’s forests with images he captured during the 10-week project. The fellowship was co-sponsored by the National Association of State Foresters and the National Network of Forest Practitioners with support from the NASF Foundation.
